The Fascial Freedom Workshop Day at The Cross Barn, Odiham Hook.

  • The Cross Barn Odiham, England, RG29 United Kingdom (map)

The Cross Barn located in Odiham, is a Grade 2 Listed building built in 1532.

Located about 25 minutes from Bisley/Woking area up the M3.

The Great Hall will be our space for the day.

Myself, Jessica & Suzanne Lott are excited to announce our first collaborative workshop day together, on Sunday 8th September in the village of Odiham.

Suzanne, a Pilates Teacher, Body and Fascia worker with many years experience, has developed her own techniques to loosen fascia. Used in combination with stretching, these techniques are an effective and efficient way to unstick fascia!

Fascial Freedom - About Fascia

By taking care of our fascia, we have the power to experience a full-body awakening.

Fascia, often described as the bodies "living matrix," is the connective tissue that interweaves throughout our muscles, organs, bones, and nerves, shaping our body's form and function. Like an intricate tapestry, it supports every part of our body, influencing our mobility, flexibility, posture, and overall health.

Just as we nourish our bodies with wholesome food and regular exercise, caring for our fascia requires attention and intention. Practices such as myofascial release, foam rolling, yoga, and bodywork can help maintain the suppleness and elasticity of our fascia, preventing tightness, injury, and pain. Through these practices, we encourage circulation, improve mobility, and promote the body's innate ability to heal and regenerate.

Beyond its physical impact, our fascia also affects our mental well-being, serving as a repository of past experiences, traumas, and emotions. Through practices like breathwork, mindfulness, and somatic movement, we can let go of what no longer serves us. This release can create a profound sense of lightness, emotional freedom, and healing catharsis.

~ Pilates Teacher & Body Worker, Suzanne Lott

“I want you to know that by nurturing healthy fascia, and caring for it every day, you are effectively investing in a brighter future for your body and mind.

Fascial work helps to get the body 'traffic' moving and flushes out areas that are stuck and ailing. The body is then able to offload its waste and regenerate with fresh, invigorating supplies of nutrients, fluids and healing energy.

I believe that within 50 years the wisdom and logic of actively promoting healthy fascia will be so well accepted it will be the norm...says she hopefully!!

Jessica, has been working in the Wellness field for over 15 years. She is a Yoga Teacher, Sound Practitioner, Massage Therapist and Life Coach.

“Movement for me is medicine. I believe we should all lead a lifestyle of variety when it comes to moving our bodies. Life is always a play and dance between Yin and Yang.

We need strengthening tools as much as we need more passive work such as Yin and Meditation.

Different practices are often very complementary to each other, which means more balance and efficiency overall. Why not add as many remedies to the natural first aid kit as you can!?

Connecting to the body only heightens your connection to the mind. Holistic work in progress.”
